Frequently asked questions
Product questions, answered.
What components can be manufactured?
Threaded inserts, turned components, sanitary and plumbing fittings, building hardware, general industrial components, EV charging pins and connectors, fasteners and standoffs, forged components, sheet metal components, valve parts and precision brass nuts for O2 and CO2 valves.
Are components only made in brass?
No. Brass is the largest part of the range, but components are also machined in stainless steel, copper, aluminium, mild and carbon steel, alloy steel, phosphor bronze and gunmetal. The material is chosen to suit the application and the drawing.
Can you make a part from my drawing?
Yes. Nearly all work is build to print. Send a drawing, CAD file or a sample with the material, finish and quantity, and it is quoted against your specification rather than a catalogue equivalent.
Can you reverse engineer a part from a sample?
Yes. Send a physical sample and it will be measured, a drawing produced for your approval, and matching parts manufactured in the correct grade and finish.
What size range is available?
Diameters from 2 mm to 200 mm and lengths from 4 mm to 150 mm, at tolerances of plus or minus 0.02 mm and above. Parts outside that range are quoted on review of the drawing.
Do you handle prototypes as well as production?
Yes. Single prototypes, low-volume batches and high-volume runs on special-purpose machines are all quoted, with the most cost-effective route recommended for your quantity.
